ASCOT, BERKSHIRE — Royal Ascot 2026 opening day burst into life today as the pinnacle of the British summer social and racing calendar officially commenced. Under glorious blue skies, the opening day combined world-class flat racing with the unmatched elegance of the traditional Royal Procession, setting a spectacular tone for the five-day festival.

At 2.00pm sharp, the gates opened to the iconic sound of the Royal Procession travelling down the Straight Mile in horse-drawn landaus.
